The film’s release date was scheduled for May 26, 2010, but was again pushed back to later date. The film has apparently been given a new title and it will now be called "Hai Apna Dil To Aagayi Hai" (literally, "The heart we love has come again"). ‘Desi Boyz’ is a blend of romance and comedy and is directed by Indra Kumar. The film also stars Katrina Kaif and Genelia D'Souza in lead roles and has music by Himesh Reshammiya. The film was released on 20 November 2010 in 1200 theatre across India. "Desi Boyz" got mixed reviews from the critics. It got 1st position in box office its opening day in Kerala, Kerala state. The film was struck in the market due to the plagiarism controversy that followed it in Tamil, where Akshay Kumar played a similar role to Ajith Kumar's role in "Silambattam".
